Smoldered Cider EDP

Born from red faces and frozen breath, Smoldered Cider captures the ritual of warming up in an unforgiving Alaskan winter. It’s the scent of frost clinging to pine needles, boots by the door absolutely covered in snow , and cider simmering beside a crackling fire as darkness settles over the land way too early around 3pm. 

The opening of this fragrance cuts through the cold with some juicy bergamot oil:  bright and light in nature, lifted by the sweet, aromatic spice of cardamom. It’s the sharp inhale of winter air before FINALLY stepping inside to your cabin. 

As the fragrance unfolds to the middle notes, the star of the whole entire scent emerges: baked apples glazed with Jamaican rum (inspired by my time in the Caribbean for drone work). the rum is slightly softened by creamy vanilla and grounded by earthy moss. The effect is like having a rich/inviting spiced cider steaming in a cast-iron pot, sweet vapors rising into rafters of your home.

The Foundation is crucial to any fragrance in the base: Cedarwood smolders beneath soft musk and sweet pipe tobacco (not the stinky cigarette kind), while cinnamon adds a final touch of depth. The dry down is smooth, intimate, and deeply comforting like finally getting warm up after an outdoor adventure. Smoldered Cider isn’t just cozy. It’s firelight against when facing a snowstorm in the dead of winter.
